Do you want to take a trip to the German part of the North Sea without spending a fortune? Then the 

on the islands of Langeoog and Norderney (Ostfriesische Inseln - East Frisian Islands) may be an interesting option! 

Langeoog and Norderney are part of the national park “Wattenmeer” (Wadden Sea) which has been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2009.

The “Inselquartiere” were founded as childrens’ sanatoriums in the middle of the 20^th century. The principality of Lippe has owned both places since 1973 and transformed them into appealing accommodations for all kind of guests from toddlers up to “silver agers”.

Our teams do not speak English very well - but different languages are not really a problem as our service speaks for itself:

The “Inselquartiere” offer rooms for singles or couples but as most of the rooms have more than two beds they are best suited for larger groups or families. Prices start at 19.50 € per night (children up to the age of 2 years are free) and include accommodation and full board. Both hostels provide the basic infrastructure for free and charge extra only some special offers (as for example guided tours into the mudflat).

Some basic information:

The island of Langeoog is a cosy place well liked by families with smaller children - especially as there are no cars. People like to spend whole days at the beach (very fine and white sand) or take a trip with the small train which runs between the port and the village.

Our “Inselquartier” is situated right in the village’s centre and could house up to 85 guests. It’s a pleasant hostel with a homely atmosphere and a manager who does the cooking himself.

As everything is just a five minute walk away the house is a destination for kindergartens or primary schools but for families or clubs as well. The rooms are of different sizes and have different equipment (not all of them have got their own sanitary facilities). People meet at the two parlor rooms/lounges or sit in the backyard where the house provides a place especially used for barbecues, and an adjacent playground.

The island of Norderney has got two different parts: In the West you find the village with lots of places for shopping or dining whereas the East shows an interesting landscape formed by wind and sand.

Our “Inselquartier” lies halfway between the town and the lighthouse. In five different houses it accommodates up to 265 guests mostly from schools, families or clubs. Every room has got its own sanitary facilities and some of them have even got a balcony. The size differs from single and double rooms up to rooms with 8 beds.

The “Inselquartier” provides excellent conditions for sports/training camps and is well know for its gym, the newly laid multifunctional turf (soccer, tennis or volleyball) or the beach, which is just around the corner.
